Hysteroscopic surgery for submucous fibroid/ Hysteroscopic Myomectomy

Hysteroscopic myomectomy is a procedure used to remove abnormal uterine tissue called fibroids from the inside of the uterine cavity.

It involves two steps: First the uterus is viewed and the location of the uterine fibroids are identified using hysteroscope, a type of telescope especially designed to view the inside of the uterus. Then the uterine fibroids are removed through channels in the scope. Sometimes it may take multiple procedures to remove all of the fibroid tissue. No incisions are required for this procedure, which does not require a hospital stay. Average operative times range from 30 to 60 minutes. Hysteroscopic myomectomy is done under general anaesthesia. After surgery and clearance of anesthesia, most patients can go back and the next day may return to work. They usually require anti-inflammatory pain medicine for several days, but not narcotics. Mild vaginal bleeding for several days after the procedure can happen and will resolve, but if it there is increasing pain or fever associated with it, the doctor should be called.

Hysteroscopic myomectomy is a complex process and you need experienced doctor/ surgeon to handle such cases. We at Rejoice have vast experience in doing hysteroscopic myomectomy and many doctors in Delhi NCR take our help for completing these surgeries.
